[ About WATOC ]

The World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC) seeks to advance the discipline of theoretical and computational chemistry while fostering global scientific collaboration. Since 1987, it has organised the triennial WATOC Congress, the largest international conference in theoretical and computational chemistry. The congress in Oslo is the 13th in the WATOC series.

WATOC recognises exceptional contributions to the field of theoretical chemistry with two annual medals: the Schrödinger Medal for senior scientists and the Dirac Medal for those under the age of 40.The Board serves as WATOC’s primary decision-making body, comprising Schrödinger Medalists and other elected members. It convenes every three years on the eve of the Congress. The president of WATOC is Prof. Peter Gill, University of Sydney.
